Niki H.
My name is Niki. I’m a speech-language pathologist and a mom to an incredible autistic son who has changed the way I see the world.
Becoming his mom has shaped me deeply, both as a person and as a professional. It has given me so much empathy and perspective, but it has also come with moments of self-doubt, stress, and sadness. Even though I spend my days supporting other families, there are seasons when I feel lost as a parent to my own son. That mix of love, advocacy, uncertainty, and responsibility can often feel very isolating.
I came across Kindred while looking for support through social media groups and first attended a walk in the park. Since then, it has been incredible to see this community continue to grow.
Kindred has reminded me that we’re not meant to do this alone. It’s a space where we can be honest, encouraged, and supported by women who simply get it, and I’m so grateful to be part of it.
